As part of the LB system remote I/O solution, our relay output modules are available in 4 and 8 channel versions, ensuring the highest possible utilization of backplanes for module connection while enabling compact remote I/O solutions with large channel numbers.
Numerous process automation applications include basic ON/OFF switching routines. Simple status and alarm indication is noted via beacons, flashlights, sirens, or horns. To control these indicators, solenoid valves, or other switching functions in Zone 2, Class I/Div.2 explosions-hazardous areas, Pepperl+Fuchs provides relay outputs with Ex nA terminals.
The digital output modules support lead breakage detection and short circuit detection. Galvanic isolation separates the inputs and outputs from bus and power. The modules are hot-swappable for quick and easy module replacement without time-consuming system shutdowns.
Features:
- 1-channel versions with one digital output and two digital inputs are ideal for valve control.
- Through transmission of two binary input signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts, they ensure reliable valve position feedback from the field.
- 8-channel versions ensure the highest possible utilization of backplanes used for module connection, and enable compact remote I/O solutions with large channel numbers.
- Additionally, these modules feature shutdown inputs for bus-independent safety applications.
