LB system remote I/O field units are designed for use in Zone 2, Class I/Div. 2 explosion-hazardous areas.
The durable field unit enclosures are made from glass fiber reinforced polyester or brushed stainless steel and ensure reliable protection of all electric components from harsh ambient conditions.
The largest LB field unit is manufactured from 316L stainless steel and features 68 slots for I/O modules in a 1000 x 800 x 260 mm enclosure. The solutions are available with both redundant and non-redundant variants for fieldbus and power supply connection. They are suitable for use in a -20°C – +40°C temperature range.
They are equipped with a backplane that carries all remote I/O components (I/O modules, power supply, com units).
