For processing input signals from binary sensors or mechanical contacts from the field, Pepperl+Fuchs offers highly reliable digital input modules for use in Zone 2, Class I/Div. 2 explosion-hazardous areas.
As part of our LB system remote I/O solution, these modules feature Ex i terminals and are ideally suited for connecting NAMUR proximity switches, optocouplers, or volt-free contacts. A mechanical contact or switch can also be used with an isolated barrier and mounted with parallel or serial resistors to simulate operation of a NAMUR initiator.
