FB remote I/O field units for use in Zone 1 are equipped with a backplane for mounting remote I/O components (I/O modules, power supply, com unit/gateway), and are ideal for challenging applications in explosion-hazardous areas.
The backplane is compatible with com units/gateways for all standard fieldbus types (PROFIBUS DP/DP-V1, MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP).
GRP and electropolished stainless steel are available as enclosure materials. Solutions made from lightweight glass fiber reinforced polyester offer high corrosion resistance, while the surface resistance prevents electrostatic charges.
