Using a screen element, no downtime is needed to replace disposable filter elements or to clean permanent media. The Spencer Strainer System also provides consistent high flow rates as well as maintaining levels of solids.
Filtering from “outside to inside” of the screen element means more surface area and fewer chances of clogging. Finally, cleaning the Spencer Strainer System is easily achieved by using a backwash cycle. Simply reverse the lines to the filter (output to input and input to output), open the discharge valve, and clean the system by using water or solvents.
