The Bard DUAL-TEC Wall Mount Air Conditioners with -48VDC Blower Motor and DC Voltage Free Cooling Economizer are designed for maximum indoor cooling at the most efficient operating cost for year-round operation in the demanding equipment shelter environment.
The DUAL-TEC units operate on both AC and -48VDC positive ground power under normal power supply conditions. If there is a loss of AC power supply (shore &/or backup generator) the DUAL-TEC will continue to operate as a free-cooling or ventilation system using the shelter’s DC power. The DUAL-TEC indoor blower and economizer operate from -48VDC and no inverter is required.
The DUAL-TEC units will supply up to 100% of rated cooling airflow in free cooling mode with the ability to exhaust the same amount through the unit itself without any additional relief openings in the shelter.
